Rochester, N.Y. — The return of Flower City Days at the Market kicks off Sunday morning and will last through 2 p.m.
Flower City Days at the Market will be open every weekend through Memorial Day, including Mother’s Day.
The event offers a variety of vendors selling gardening essentials such as perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, potted plants, succulents, herbs and vegetables.
The traditional market vendors will also be present in the B shed, as well as small businesses throughout the market’s district.
Master gardeners from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County will also be on hand to provide expert gardening advice.
Flower City Days at the Market also hosts a give-and-take container exchange outside the Market Office. Gardeners are welcome to donate or retrieve gently used flower or plant pots, flats, and other containers.
After Sunday’s kickoff, the remaining Flower City Days at the Market will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays: May 12 (Mother’s Day), 19 and 26; Memorial Day Weekend: Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day).
