A lot of people have been interested in Homesteading lately. It’s a self-sufficient lifestyle that involves farming, raising livestock and making your own food and other household items.
Winter is a great time to chop and stack firewood. This makes for cozy evenings by the fire.
Pomeroy Farm, 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Road, Yacolt, will offer three homesteading workshops this March: “Herbs, Oils and Salves” at 10 a.m. March 4; “Beekeeping 101” at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 11; and “Intro to Canning” at 10 a.m. March 18. All classes are two hours. Register for all the classes at pomeroyfarm.org/workshops-classes/.
