HOLLAND — Holland’s Tulip Time Festival has taken home an international award.
Tulip Time was named Flower Festival of the Year by the International Garden Tourism Conference. The festival is the first winner of the award, which was presented to Executive Director Gwen Auwerda on Nov. 2 at the International Garden Tourism Conference in British Columbia.

“This recognition not only acknowledges our past achievements but also inspires us to continue pushing boundaries and striving for excellence,” Auwerda said. “In the spirit of this accolade, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of innovation and creativity to support our legacy of cultural exchange.
“It is an incredible honor, which motivates us to reach even greater heights.”
The International Garden Tourism Conference includes 90 delegates from 12 countries.

The latest award is one of many Tulip Time has won over the years, including USA Today’s Best Flower Festival and Reader’s Digest’s America’s Best Small Town Festival.
